Fireflies

The lovely last days of summer when the fireflies appear as if by magic…hundreds flying, floating and shining in the darkening meadow.

This painting was created on water color paper which I wet thoroughly with water and then crumpled up gently. As it dried, I opened it up and smoothed it a bit.  When completely dry, I applied my watercolors in great washes of color until this painting was born.

It comes with a double mat and a clean black frame. Ready to hang.
